In surprising news, it appears that part of the confidential fundraising pitch deck from Yuga Labs to VC firm a16z has been leaked today. Photos surfaced on Twitter of the pitch being viewed on a mobile phone, with a title at the top of the document “YUGA Investor Deck – Prepared for a16z (1).pdf“.
Even for those that do not have a financial interest in Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), the leaked roadmap provides insights into the best practices from the world’s leading brand that is building into the metaverse. Other collections watch what Yuga Labs does.
One of the founders of Yuga Labs ‘Garga’ has already commented on the leak in the official BAYC Discord server denouncing the leak as outdated;
“That’s an old, outdated pitch deck and hilariously a version that neither Gordon nor I ever saw. There are a lot of things in there that have already changed, and plenty more things that will change because fuck doing expected things.”
And while the deck might be a little old, it’s a fascinating look into some of the ideas that Yuga Labs were planning for the BAYC ecosystem in 2022.
