Bitcoin Miami 2022 Day 2 Wrap Up, Thoughts & Analysis

Unfortunately, I’ve become really sick while here in Miami so could only watch the stream from the couch but here are the main takeaways from today.

That’s a wrap of Day 2 of the Bitcoin Miami Conference! The Lightning Network is being under-utilised as a payment-settlement layer and now Strike has partnered with one of the biggest point-of-sales services in the U.S. so you can now pay on the Lightning Network across some of the biggest stores in the U.S. including McDonald’s, Walmart, Macy’s, Wendy’s etc. A user can pay in BTC/Sats and the merchant gets BTC/dollars instantly, with no fees and intermediaries. Huge news. Strike also partnered with Shopify to provide Lightning Network payments across all Shopify stores.
